My heart coated every word
That slipped from my mouth
But who knew
That your words
Would devour
The sugary sweetness
Of them all
Just take their meaning
And swallowed them down
To wither
Into
Meaningless
Cries.
I want a guy to hold me
When I cry
I want a guy to pet me
And take away the pain
With every gentle stroke
I want a guy who will
Let words keep their meaning
It’s what I need
And exactly
What I do not have.
